As this system is on Vista Home Premium I would have to say no. You could have the possibliity of voiding your warranty by changing the Operating system and Tou will also more than likely come accross some Driver issues as some of the hardware onboard hasn't been developed for XP. If you want to be 100% I would recommend checking with Toshiba to see if they will support you if you did and if they have any compatable drivers.

Question from scott: Asked on 17/01/2009 i just got this laptop, why when checking out there is an option to buy anti virus? as it says be safe and dont forget anti virus and firewall, but when this laptop arrives it has anti virus and firewall allready installed.
surely this is letting customers buy anti virus for £25.19 when it is not required.

Most laptops come with a trial version of some security software. That will run out soon and yes, we always advise customers to purchase some security before going on the web as if they don't then they would complain when they get struck by 101 different viruses.

The 4500 has a small amount of dedicated graphics and is the newer card. Depending on the specifications that the games require this may not be compatable
