Question from Catherine Gowthorpe: Asked on 18/09/2009 I've put a Samsung N120 netbook into my basket. If I buy the predelivery check and the FPP boxed Office Standard Academic edition will you load the software onto the netbook for me? And should I buy an external CD/DVD driver? And can I also put the software onto my home desktop? (I know people have asked this above, but the answers seem inconsistent). i.e. how many licences do I get with this software?

Thanks

Cath Gowthorpe

Answer from david s: Answered on 21/09/2009
Yes with a pre delivery check all software will be installed for you. With the academic version of office it is one licence only.

Question from Billr: Asked on 08/07/2009 What does FPP mean in the title? Is this a restriction or limitation to the Standard edition?

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 09/07/2009
No FPP has something to do with the fact its the disc version. If it says OEM, it means its a disc less version that needs to be loaded on when you buy the laptop.

Question from Paul Fisher: Asked on 13/02/2009 The Office Standard 2007 Academic Boxed Retail Edition seems to meet my needs i.e. I can load it onto my desktop at home, as well as on my work laptop. It also has Outlook.

However, one of your sales staff stated that I can only use this version if I can prove that I am a student or teacher/lecturer etc. Is this true and how can it be verified?

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 16/02/2009
Its an academic version and therefore discounted. To register the product you must provide your academic credentials.

Question from Jo: Asked on 09/02/2009 Have just bought Office 2007 Home and student edition. Didn't realise it doesn't have Outlooks on or Publisher. Is it possible purchase these programmes as a download?

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 10/02/2009
