It's nice to know it has speakers, but you didn't answer the second part of the question. Does it have a microphone built in or would I need to buy a seperate mic?

I'm a student in final year at uni and hoping to go on to study a phd. I'm looking for a laptop that is suitable for the following:
* will last approx 3-4years
* decent storage (for microsoft office, other software packages, music, 3 years worth of word/excel files etc)
* decent battery life (over 2 hours)
* at least 13" display
* reasonably fast (I'm used to a mac so similar speed would be best)
* optical drive
* decent sound and display for DVDs/MP3s
* 2 or more USB ports
and if possible:
* ability to play computer games e.g. Sims
* HDMI port
Obviously the cheaper the better for me. Please advise me whether this laptop is the best for my needs. If there is a better option please let me know.
