Question from James T: Asked on 16/07/2007 Comment: Just thought I would say that the laptop screen works with Ubuntu Linux. You will need to install it using the text installer then use the following commands:
# Become root
sudo su
# Make sure you have the latest everything
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
# Then get the graphics
apt-get install xorg-driver-fglrx
aticonfig --initial --input=/etc/X11/xorg.conf
# Start it up
gdm start

What type of screen does this laptop have?
The HP website states:

Which screen does this model have? I would really like one with a bright screen.
