Question from dadsincharge: Asked on 07/02/2011 OK, can you still sync an IPhone 4 to iTunes and rip a CD into iTunes (with a USB CDR) on these Netbooks

Answer from vicki : Answered on 07/02/2011
yes you can but performance will be really poor on netbooks.

Question from DadsinCharge: Asked on 06/02/2011 One other question. My wife uses Olympus Master to d/load photos from camera and does the Red Eye reduction thing. It is not memory intensive. also we use Serif DTP software and this creates PDF (similar to Acrobat) This too is not memory intensive - would this cope with this if we upgraded to 2GB memory (is 2GB the max) How well does it cope with ripping a CD into iTunes (external CD required I know)

Answer from vicki: Answered on 07/02/2011
I would strongly suggest going for a full size laptop as you are limited as to what you can do on these netbooks as they are purely designed to surf the internet only.

All netbooks and notebooks come with WiFi as standard and they all have at least one usb port. If she is going to be using documents for school and homework she would need Microsoft Office, you can buy it on a card that will licence one machine for £79.97 or on a disc to licence 3 different machines for £91.88.
Please feel free to contact our retail sales team for purchasing.

Question from Dom Scott: Asked on 31/12/2010 Is it possible to 'link' to another computers optical drive & so load software?

I already have Office / Word... can I load it this way? Any way round the expensive purchase of another Microsoft office

Answer from simon: Answered on 03/01/2011
No, it's not possible to 'link' to another computers optical drive & so load software. You can download a trial version of Office from the Internet then enter your licence key if your licence would allow use on other computers. If not you would need to buy Office again such as if you had a OEM licence.
