Hi Lewis,The electriQ Single Premium Monitor Arm (OEM-USBP-SINGLE) uses a mechanical spring-assisted system, not a gas spring, to help support and adjust your monitor. This means it relies on internal metal springs to counterbalance the weight of the screen, providing lift assistance and flexibility, but it does not have the near-effortless, smooth motion of a gas-strut arm.Thanks!

Hi James,The USB ports on the monitor arm are pass-through ports, so you connect a USB cable from the back of the arm to your computer, and then the ports on the front will work — there’s no separate power plug for the arm itself.Thanks!
