Check the compressor is functioning. To ensure the compressor is operating correctly, remove the vent hose and place the Air Con near the centre of the room. Allow the Air Con to run for 20 minutes on the lowest setting, at the end of 20 minutes you should be able to feel hot air being exhausted from one side of the air conditioner and cold air from the other.
Check your air conditioner is powerful enough to cool your space. Air conditioners come with different cooling capabilities, measured in BTU. The more powerful the unit, the bigger space it can cool. For conservatories/glass rooms/sun rooms, you will need to double the BTU required.

If the vent hose has more than a 30-degree angle kink or bend, airflow can be restricted. This can result in reduced performance or damage to your air conditioner.

If the air conditioner is leaking, there are a couple of steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.
Ensure the air conditioner is on a level surface, as the drip tray (tank) will overflow and leak water if not.
Check that the drainage bung and continuous drainage bung (on certain models) are in place and secure.
Check the base of the air conditioner to ensure there is no damage. Cracks in this area can result in the air conditioner leaking.

Some noise is normal The Air Con have a compressor and moving parts, so they will produce a level of noise as advertised on our website. If you believe your Air Con is louder than anticipated, please check the below steps, and if you still find you are encountering issues, please get in touch.
Try to place the Air Con on carpet or place a small mat or towel under the Air Con to absorb the vibrations.

If the air conditioner is turning itself off, there are a couple of steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.
Check the target temperature setting. Once the target temperature in the room has been reached the air conditioner will automatically switch itself off to conserve energy. If the temperature in the room increases by 2-3 degrees, the air conditioner will automatically switch back on and begin to cool the room again until the target temperature is met again.

Check the ambient temperature of the room. Next, refer to your manual to check the ambient operating range of your air conditioner. If the air conditioner is placed in a room that is outside of the operational temperature range (i.e. too hot or too cold) then it will malfunction.

Ensure that the Air Con is plugged into the mains directly (i.e. not an extension lead). Please also try an alternate plug socket in the house.
If you are comfortable doing so you can try changing the fuse in the plug as well as this may be the cause of the air conditioner not powering on.

Clean the filters by running the brush extension of a vacuum cleaner over the filter lightly. make sure that the water in the tank has been drained. Once cleaned the Air Con will clear the smell in the next 24 hours.

If continuous drainage isn’t working, there are a couple of steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.
Make sure that the hose is connected to the correct port on the air conditioner; this is usually in the middle of the unit at the back (the lower port is for tank drainage).
If the hose is connected, make sure it isn’t blocked/kinked or submerged in water as this will hamper the drainage from flowing correctly.
If this has been checked, pierce a 2mm hole around 5cm down the hose to ensure it isn’t air tight.
These units have a self evaporative function and will recycle water to cool the coils inside the air conditioner; due to this, you may notice that the air conditioner doesn’t release water into the continuous drainage hose.
