Answer from SteveF: Answered on 09/01/2009
There is an XP version of the Acer one out already but don't let Linux put you off. Its a very easy system to use. If you know you're way around XP then Linux will take no time to pick up.

I'd give Acer a call. It sounds like you're missing the XP wireless drivers but unfortunately we are just a retailer and don't deal with repairs, therefore don't have the drivers.

Question from wendy: Asked on 25/11/2008 The product is rated 3.8 stars. I guess it all depends what you want to do. Could you just summarize what it is good at and what it is less good for (for example I don't want to play games, I mainly want to surf and send emails).

Answer from Matt: Answered on 26/11/2008
It would be fine for surfing and sending emails, the only down side would be compatibility with Windows programs if you keep the Linux on there. If you have a separate copy of Windows that you could put on there yourself it would solve any of those problems.

Question from Vince: Asked on 11/11/2008 Hi, Can I re-load say Ubuntu Linux OS on this machine?. Or will it only operate using the pre-installed OS?
There is no installation DVD/CD drive so I'm assuming this can be done from a USB flash disk? will the bios allow this?

Answer from david s: Answered on 11/11/2008
You would be able to install another operating system providing you have the drivers for the system. But by changing the operating you also run the risk of voiding any warranty with the manifacturer. so always check with them first before changing the os.
