Question from Jordan: Asked on 23/06/2007 processors confuse me. What is better the highest T number or GH number. So what is best 'T5500 1.66 GH' or 'T5300 1.73 GH' ?

Answer from buyitdirect: Answered on 28/06/2007
There will be very little difference between them, if you used them both you wouldnt be able to tell which was which. The T5300 has a slightly faster core speed at 2 x 1.73GHz (GHz = Billion calculations per second). This is doubled because it is a dual core processor; 2 cores operating at 1.73GHz each. The T5500 has a higher FSB speed which means it can transfer data to and from other parts of the computer more quickly.
