Dual Cameras
The DJI Air 3S features a sophisticated dual-camera system, consisting of a 1-inch CMOS primary camera and a 1/1.3-inch CMOS medium tele camera. The primary camera, equipped with a larger CMOS sensor and a 24mm lens, excels at capturing expansive, detailed scenery, making it ideal for stunning travel photography. The primary camera on the DJI Air 3S boasts a 50MP 1-inch CMOS sensor, supporting 4K/60fps HDR and 4K/120fps video recording, along with a 10-bit D-Log M colour mode. Omnidirectional Obstacle Avoidance
The DJI Air 3S is equipped with Advanced Pilot Assistance Systems (APAS), utilizing six vision sensors (two at the front, rear, and bottom) and downward infrared time-of-flight (ToF) sensors. As the first DJI drone to include forward-facing LiDAR, it provides nightscape omnidirectional obstacle sensing. This feature allows the drone to automatically detect and avoid obstacles, such as buildings, during both flights and return paths, ensuring maximum safety during nighttime photography.
Next-Gen Return to Home
The next-gen Smart Return to Home (RTH) system on the DJI Air 3S leverages real-time vision positioning and map-building technologies. It memorizes flight paths when adequate lighting is available, ensuring safe returns even from complex locations like balconies or areas without satellite signals. Even in low-light conditions, the Air 3S detects obstacles, including tall buildings, and navigates safely around them using forward-facing LiDAR and low-light vision sensors, offering secure returns at night.
