Cisco SMARTnet Service provides flexible device-by-device coverage including:
Global 24 x 7 access to specialized engineers in the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC)
Anytime access to the extensive Cisco.com online knowledge base, communities, resources, and tools
Hardware replacement options including 2-hour, 4-hour, and next-business-day (NBD) advance replacement, as well as Return for Repair (RFR). Optional onsite service provides a field engineer to install advance replacement parts at your location
Ongoing operating system software updates including both minor and major releases within your licensed feature set
Cisco OS software support to extend the life of Cisco devices with improved security, increased performance, bandwidth management, new protocol support, and greater interoperability
Proactive diagnostics and real-time alerts on select devices enabled with the Smart Call Home feature
