Sell Us Your Old Phone: Terms & Conditions

Subject to the following terms and conditions, customers will be eligible to receive cashback for the sale of their old mobile phone.

This promotion is open to residents of the UK only.

In order to qualify for the promotion, you must warrant that:

  • You are resident in Great Britain or Northern Ireland; and
  • You are accessing our site from that country; and
  • You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract; and
  • You are at least 18 years old; or
  • If you are under 18 years of age, that you have obtained your parent's or guardian's consent to sell your phone to us for the sum indicated via our website.

  • The phone will be supplied in adequate packaging.

Products must be received within 14 days after the completion of the web form. If items are not received within the 14 days, the original valuation is nullified and our offer is no longer valid. All quotes via the website are estimates only. A final offer will not be made until our technical team have inspected your phone (up to 7 days after receipt). Quotes for your phone are based on your phone meeting the relevant grading criteria selected.

Please make sure that your phone is packaged adequately and the box secured. If it arrives damaged or does not arrive at all we cannot accept responsibility.

Once we have received your phone, an engineer will evaluate it for damage and any non-functional parts. Engineers will evaluate if the phone is worth the original valuation. Should a phone fall outside the stated conditions we will send a revised offer by email with an option to either accept or decline. If the revised offer is declined, we will gladly return phone in the condition it was received for free.

From the date an offer is sent, you have 14 days to accept or decline the proposed valuation. If we have not received a reply within this time the offer will be taken as accepted and processed at the revised price for payment, or disposal of the phone including the destruction of all data held on the machine.

If the phone is in the required condition (or following an accepted revised offer) we will process your payment, which will be sent via the chosen payment method.

If a cheque is chosen as the preferred payment method this will be sent within 14 days of a validated offer. Please allow an additional 5 days for possible postage delays. BACS payments will be paid to the person detailed on the original form and will be completed with seven days of acceptance of the final offer.

Confidential Data

Unfortunately we cannot accept any responsibility for the security, protection, confidentiality or use of any data. Please note we are unable to retrieve any customer data once the product has been received. We comply with strict data protection legislation concerning the recycling of data bearing devices and have processes that ensure we either destroy or use effective data wiping software to securely delete data.

Trade-In Criteria Explained

Each mobile phone sold should match the make and model in the sale order and meet the following conditions:

Working

  • Turn on and off (with all buttons working).
  • Be fully functional* (cosmetic wear and tear is acceptable).
  • Have a fully working operating system (software).
  • Have a working screen (without cracks, pixel damage or defects)
  • Have a working touch screen (without cracks or chips)
  • Have no damage to rear glass or camera lens (no cracks or chips)
  • Not have bent housing
  • Battery Must Be Included
  • Not be water-damaged (water indicators must not be tripped)
  • *All features such as making calls, Wi-Fi, Camera, Video, etc must work.

Faulty

    • Include its battery (you can keep memory card, charger, etc)
    • Be intact - not crushed, bent or snapped in half
    • Not have any missing parts or components

Faulty examples: Water damaged, Broken/bleeding LCD (screen), blank display, no power up, faulty/cracked touch screen, faulty operating system, etc.

All devices must not be activation locked and must be de-registered from any associated accounts. All phones and devices must be on a UK network or not locked. Phones or devices locked to a foreign network will not be accepted.
