Hi Jim, you can use either coax (like the one you're checking) or CAT5, but that would be for IP cameras. Using CAT5 would increase the peformance of you analogue cameras, even though they are better than coax, and vice versa.

To avoid any diminishment in performance do not join multiple cables together, instead use our RG59250 or RG59100 wheels of cable.

Yes. If you are unsure about the joins you can always use gaffa pr electrical tape.
