Designed specifically for use and installation by those with no experience or prior knowledge of CCTV systems. DIY Home CCTV Kit with 500GB digital video recorder and 2 outdoor cameras. Includes a clear English manual and all the cabling, power supplies, fixings and everything else needed to secure a property. Capable of recording footage from up to 4 cameras simultaneously. Footage can also be viewed from a mobile phone with apps for Apple and Android available.

Question from Vicki: Asked on 14/05/2013 Hi there, can you watch the footage live when someone is at the door for instance, or can it only be played back as a recording afterwards? Also, do any of the features require it to be plugged into a computer? If so, is it Mac compatible?
Finally, could one of the cameras be used inside the house?

Hi, you can view live and record at the same time. The DVR is the hard ware, no need for a computer. You will need a TV or monitor for viewing live, or you can plug it into your router and access online, Mac friendly, but you'll need a Windows PC to set it up initially.

Based on a 500GB HD you should get about 14 days worth of footage before the hard drive fills up and loops around to re-record over itself.

Hi Elaine, 2 cameras recording continuously on a 500GB hard drive should give you the best part of 2 weeks of footage before it runs out of space. More so if you use motion detector.
