In most situations, I believe the Core Duo at 1.73GHz would be slightly faster, although there would be some scenarios where the Core 2 Duo would be faster.

The difference is that the T5200 is a Core 2 Duo, but the T2250 is just Core Duo. The Core 2 Duo is an updated version of the Core Duo, it has just been slightly improved and tweaked by Intel.

The integrated graphics chip uses shared system memory which can be set in the BIOS. According to Sony the most you can assign to it is 224MB.
