Question from Paul: Asked on 08/03/2011 Can this product (External IR Wireless CCTV Camera With Receiver - 906D) work as is internally with the iphone app for monitoring?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 08/03/2011
On its own it wouldn't be able to sorry. If used in conjunction with an avtech DVR such as the KPD674 then you could utilise the iphone compatibility of the DVR to see the camera on your iphone

Question from philbo1965: Asked on 14/02/2011 If I buy this product..how do I get the output to my PC to record the footage.Their are no AV atachments on my ATI4870 so what device between PC and reciever do I also need..the camera will be monitoring my driveway so I need to record any unwelcome visitors

Answer from mark h: Answered on 15/02/2011
The RCA's on the receiver are designed to go into a separate DVR or directly into a composite in on a TV or monitor. There are boxes that convert video and sound from RCA to a USB in that may work for this purpose, though we unfortunately don't sell them. Alternatively you could look at a dedicated DVR card like the Geovision cards on the site

Question from KEV Q: Asked on 21/10/2009 hello regarding 906D if i needed to buy x2 cameras would i get x2 receivers? or can i just buy an extra camera? if so how much would it cost? Also the AVTECH 4CH 500GB DVR. is it mac compatible? thank you.

Answer from sajid: Answered on 23/10/2009
If you buy 906D it comes with a camera and a reciever. If you need another camera you can buy it separatly 906T. And you can use upto 4 cameras with one reciever though you can only output one at a time. If you need to record all 4 channels at once then you would need 4 of the 906D. The web interface of AVTECH works fine on firefox however it doesnot work on safari. The software is windows base only.

Question from Bradley Stephens: Asked on 05/07/2009 Regarding the External IR Wireless Cameras With Receiver - 906D

I'm looking for a wireless camera like this one stated above, but query on whether the camera itself needs to be plugged into a wall socket outlet, or does it run on battery or the transmitter. I am wanting it to fix outside my flat so having no cables is perfect

Answer from mark h: Answered on 06/07/2009
The wireless cameras would still require a local power source. We do sell a range of battery powered covert cameras though - please see hidden / spy cameras

Question from Joe: Asked on 09/02/2009 Hi

I need a system wireless camera system with 4 cameras, a reciver with the ability to output all 4 streams to a dvr, can this product do that if I purchased addition cameras?

If not, how can I accomplish this?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 11/02/2009
The extra cameras are the 906T and the receiver will support up to 4 though you can only output one at a time. If you need to record all 4 channels at once then you would need 4 of the 906D
