There have been issues with using the dongles with Linux, however, I'd contact Asus to see if they have any drivers to solve the problem, if not, you'll need to find a version of the eeepc with windows xp as that os works fine with them.

I'd check with Vodaphone and Asus as this Netbook comes with the Linux operating system and there have been compatibility issues with that OS and the broadband dongles. It may have been fixed now though.

A solid state hard drive has no moving parts making it better for a lot of transporting around. they are generally slightly quicker than normal hard drives
