Yes, you can install microsoft office onto this laptop. cost would depend on which version of office is required

Xp is the operating system which it has. Things like word etc are additional to any system as the dont come pre installed anymore.

As far as we know, as reliable as any other models out there. The first batch may have had teething problems as the netbook revolution took hold very quickly with models rushed out to compete with the eeepc. But we've had no problems with returns on that particular model.
