Also- does this lap top arrive complete with Windows Media or similar programme so that I can play DVD's without having to buy any more software?

This unit does not have a HDMI port However it will come with Windows Media Player.

Vista Business has almost everything that is on Home Premium and a few other bits i.e additional networking features.
They come pre installed with Business but that can be upgraded to Ultimate either by a anytime update by yourself of by purchasing the Ultimate upgrade from us and getting us to install this. You would have to call for details about this.

Battery Life can be very Mythical as it can depend on a lot of things. I.e if you have it set on Max performance and using the DVD drive then you could be looking upto an hour running time.

I tend to go off then lowest amount. If you were to play dvd's on it, which one of the most power draining things you can do, you'll be looking at those figures. For lighter work where the screen brightness is turned down etc, you'll get more out of it and so would get up to 5 hours.

The battery life on that model is around 2 - 2.5 hours and yes you can buy a 9 volt battery which will do the job nicely.

If it was available in another colour then that would be listed as a separate product. We only have them in silver as pictured.

Yes they are. This model has an extra year added to the warranty if registered before the end of September.
