Question from Dave: Asked on 18/07/2009 Does this laptop definitely come with a tv tuner and remote control? I have heard stories of people getting this laptop without either even though it was advertised as having both. Thanks.

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 20/07/2009
There are several models in the range, some of the higher rpiced ones come with tv tuners and remotes, if it doesn't have a tv tuner inside, it doesn't come with a remote. This model doesn't have a tuner.

Question from michael: Asked on 15/07/2009 Oh, and is there an option to get a better battery, because i can't see any on the site?

Question from Michael: Asked on 15/07/2009 How much will it cost to upgrade it to 64-bit windows? Seems odd to be selling it with 32 bit.

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 15/07/2009
Its the manufacturer who puts the operating system on and as some of the software out there doesn't work with a 64 bit system, they've taken the safe route. Please give our sales team a call for pricing on the upgrade.

Question from Belgiangator: Asked on 10/07/2009 If the laptop does not come with the Vista discs, what do I do if I need to reinstall the operating system for whatever reason? I have bought two other Acer laptops in the past, and both came with the operating system pre-installed but the discs were also included.

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 13/07/2009
The laptops come with a partition drive that allows you to reboot from them should the computer crash. We do sell recovery disc which can be bought at point of sale or you can make yourself one when you first turn the laptop on. Acer don't ship them any more due to piracy issues.
