A Slimmer new design
The redesigned Inspiron 15 starts at just over 1" thick - that's 21% thinner than the 2011 model - so you get all the performance that you need, with a little more room in your bag for the other things that matter.
Mega-tasking is the new multi-tasking
One thing at a time? No way. With a nippy Intel Celeron processor and Windows 8 apps for social media, news and more, you can turn around tasks in a flash, no matter where you are.
Stay powered up long enough to skip the in-flight film, polish your presentation and drift off to your favourite music.
Watch it your way
Impressive visuals: The 15.6" HD WLED display with Truelife (1366x768) resolution looks great, even in poorly lit situations.
Built-in drive: Burn files, install software and watch your favourite films with the tray-loading DVD-RW.
Huge hard drive: Pack hours of TV shows, music and films on the Inspiron 15.
HD connectivity: Connect to an HDTV or HD monitor with an HDMI 1.4 port, for an even bigger home cinema experience.
Designed for the real world - because that's where life happens
Turn up the heat: From locker rooms to locked cars, Dell test Inspiron laptops for survival in harsh short-term heat conditions of up to 65°C/149°F.
Everything hinges on it: Dell test Inspiron laptop hinges to ensure that they still feel tight, even after opening and closing the lid 20,000 times.
Keys to success: Dell test commonly used keys for 10 million keystrokes and touchpad buttons 1 million times with no failure. So go ahead, finish your novel.
Buttoned up: No matter what you set your power and multimedia buttons to do, Dell have tested them all to survive up to 40,000 pushes with no problems.
Twist and turn: Call it excessive, but after twisting every Inspiron laptop's base and lid 25,000 times, Dell can assure you that the parts inside are well-protected.
Always a good fit: You'll probably never need to remove and reinstall your Inspiron's battery 750 times, but you can rest easy knowing that they've tested even that.
