Product Information

BUFFALO’s MiniStation™ Extreme offers high performance USB 3.0 portable storage in a compact and sophisticated design. The internal hard drive is encased in a highly shock-resistant body with rubberised elements to protect it from accidental bumps. The ingenious arrangement of shock protection features meets the U.S. Military Standard MIL-STD-810F 516.5 Procedure IV and has passed free-fall drop tests with drops up to 2.3 meters.

The combination of USB 3.0 & TurboPC EX makes file transfers blazingly fast. Moreover, the USB cable is integrated with the case so you will not be frustrated searching for a cable anymore!

The USB 3.0 interface moves data at rates of up to 5Gbps, 10X faster than USB 2.0. This vastly reduces the time needed for data transmission, making it ideal for transferring and sharing videos, large digital photo collections, music files, and other data-intensive digital content.

  • SuperSpeed USB 3.0: The USB 3.0 interface moves data at rates of up to 5 gigabytes per second, ideal for video and other data intensive digital content
  • TurboPC EX utility: Data transfer utility for Windows with tune-up saves, copies, and transfers files blazingly fast
  • Highly shock-resistant body: U.S. military-grade shock protection helps protect the hard drive from damage, passing 2.3-meter free-fall drop test
  • Easy Cable Management: Integrated USB cable snaps to chassis for pack-and-go-portability
  • Hardware Disk Encryption: 256-bit AES Full Disk Encryption (FDE) protects your data from unauthorised access
  • Buffalo Tools: with Launcher, Back-up Utility for automatically back-up your Windows PC, Turbo PC EX and RAMDISK utility
  • Eco Manager: The eco Manager system regulates power usage and conserves energy by cutting power to the hard drive when it’s inactive. This not only helps your ecologically minded efforts to reduce energy use, it also means you can work longer off your battery without recharging.
  • Fully backwards compatible with USB 2.0: No adjustments are needed, just plug into any USB 2.0 port
  • SecureLock Manager Easy: Simplifies switching in and out of Encryption mode, makes password changes a snap, enables Auto Login, provides login failure management
  • Support Time Machine™: For continuous back-up of your Mac computers
  • 2-Year Warranty
