Question from Soph: Asked on 13/07/2010 Please could you tell me more about the 'minor cosmetic damage'?

Many thanks

This may include very slight wear on keys, very slight marks or scratches on upper plastics or the chassis. Comes with all accessories.

Question from Sam: Asked on 23/05/2010 Hi there, regarding the linux Acer Aspire ONE A150 laptop. I intend to use it to dump photos and videos on it from my camera. Does this model have an SD card reader?

How long does the battery usually last on this?

I have never used linux before, is it possible to install windows xp on it myself? Also, for just downloading my photos and video from the camera to use at a later date on my more powerful laptop, will this laptop be ok for that? I have 16gb SD cards and so some of the HD video file might be quite large, do you think this laptop can cope with that?

Thanks, Sam

Answer from simon: Answered on 26/05/2010
Yes the card reader reads the SD format and will play videos from a memory card if linux supports the particular codecs for the video you are trying to run. The laptop would take XP but it costs around £100 to buy so perhaps looks at netbooks with XP which start at £140 =>. Battery life would be around 2 hrs.
