Question from Shane: Asked on 19/03/2009 Hi,

Not the most knowledgeable when it comes to computers interiors/graphics cards etc. so my question may seem stupid, but no harm in asking.

It's noted above that this machine would not be ideal for games such as the sims, etc. but, in your opinion, do you think it would be capable of fluently playing emulators like the SEGA Mega Drive or the SNES (ie; really old videogames)?

Also, i've rad the description, and not being fully understanding of the jargon used, can you tell me, how would this laptop get on in the sun (that is; would i be looking at a reflection of myself, or would i be able to make out what im doing)?

I understand that may be an odd question, but a friend of mine has a laptop, and when out and about, it practically is useless, as you can't see a thing on it. Another friend, however, could write an email whilst sitting on the sun itself, if he wanted to (Well.. slight exaggeration).

Finally, can you tell me what kind of (fully charged) battery life this woul

Answer from David J: Answered on 19/03/2009
Yes this would be fine for games emulators like the ones you mentioned. It has a glossy screen some you would get some reflection. The battery life is around 2-3 hours.

Question from jon: Asked on 14/03/2009 is this machine suitable for playing games such as "the sims" etc.?

Thanks.

Answer from David J: Answered on 12/03/2009

Question from voodoorider: Asked on 16/02/2009 you have several of these? Are the exteriors?? Scratched?

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 18/02/2009
No, its a batch of refurbished laptops we've bought from the manufacturer. A1 models are generally ex-display or warranty returns with minor faults. As an example, If the ram was faulty, Sony would replace it and then sell the laptops to us as A1 refurbs.

Question from sam: Asked on 14/02/2009 does it have a standard dvd writer or is it dual layer

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 16/02/2009
Its a standard DVD burner on that model.

Question from andye: Asked on 14/02/2009 Might seem a silly question but its says refurbished grade A1 so why would i need to pay a extra £40 to have it pre inspected if its in A1 condition?

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 16/02/2009
The pre-delivery inspection is mainly a set up with a hard ware and dead pixel check. Even though its A1, something like dead pixels don't count as a warranty fault, so if we find them, we take the hit and get another laptop sent out for you.
