Have you been waiting for power, performance, portability and a 17" screen?

Well its finally arrived in the form of the elegantly styled R710, one of Samsungs new big hitters in the Business notebook marketplace

Weighing in at just 3.1kg the R710 has shed some weight from its predecessors and its slim, sexy design has banished the old image of heavy, cumbersome large screen notebooks.

Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz processor and 4GB of Ram and you're starting to see why Samsung are putting the consumer first with a notebook that doesn't compromise on the demanding needs of everyday business users.

A 1.3 mega pixel intergrated notebook camera means that people will actually be able to see you when the conference call comes in from either work or home and a Nvidea Geforce 9600M GT 512MB dedicated graphics card shows that the machine is capable of handling the most demanding of graphical applications.

Throw in a 320GB hard drive, 4 USB ports and Bluetooth, and you have an all round performer that looks as good as it sounds.

Question from Mo: Asked on 11/02/2009 I noticed the battery is a 6-cell Lithium Ion and I have read the R610 6-cell Lithium Ion is poor and if you are a battery user more than mains, it is really small as it seems there is a option for a 9-cell Lithium Ion battery and thinking the R710 use more power this 6-cell Lithium Ion may be too small

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 12/02/2009
The bigger the battery, the better the battery time. If you are going to be using ti out on the road then go for the 9 cell.

Unfortunately not. You can buy external graphics cards but the way laptops are built means the spec, apart from the ram is pretty much set in stone.
