Question from Ross: Asked on 09/06/2009 Can I confirm that this is not a refurb - this is a brand new, boxed AOA110-Ap with 1Gb RAM and a 16Gb SSD?

Also, I note you mention that this is not compatible with mobile broadband. I know of a number of people who have Linux netbooks working with mobile broadband - although it's not officially supported by the network operators.

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 09/06/2009
Yes, the product code has a A1 or A2 in front of it if its one of the refurbs. Acer have now put drivers on their website so you can use a broadband dongle with their linux netbooks.

We have a broadband home pc. Thanks

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 01/12/2008

Question from Wendy Stickler: Asked on 26/11/2008 Hi I've been searching for a lap top for my son and daugther ,1 at college the other at school would this type of computer be suited to them both With kind regards Wendy

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 27/11/2008
Hi wendy, the 'netbooks' as they're called are perfect machines for surfing the web, downloading music and word processing. If thats all they need them for then they will be perfect. They don't have a DVD drive and so you can't burn discs or transfer music from a cd unless you buy an external hard drive for them.
