3-Mar-2008 Phil: Is it compulsory to have Windows Vista or any op system installed? I already have a fully licensed Win XP Pro so need a PC without an operating system. Do HP have to have Microsoft permission to sell a laptop without one of their op systems installed? Maybe Microsft would blacklist them if they did. I suppose they just want consumers to pay twice for what they have paid for already.

Easycom: We have had laptops which have shipped with Linux in the past, but the only ones that do at the moment are the tiny eee pcs.
