Easycom: it came out in Sept of last year. the new model is not due out until Sept/ Oct of this year

1-Sep-2008 DAVE: This Blue ray player has a 24p true cinema HD 1080p Video Output. If I pair it with a Samsung Series 6 LCD Tv will it play in 24p format? if not what format will it play in & will it differ much from a Tv such as a Panasonic Plasma that can display 24p?

Easycom: No because they struggle to communicate with each other. You should match like for like manufacturer to get full functionality. Don't go for the 6 series Samsung, go for either the new V or W series Sony.

sajidH: Yes it plays both Blu-Ray and Standard DVDs.

30-Oct-2008 paul: will it work with a tv that only displays up to 720p & 1080i?

jeremy: yes, it will rescale itself depending on the resolution of the TV

1-Nov-2007 sony bdp-s300e: is this player multi region? and will it play HD as well as blue-ray?

Easycom: This is a region 2 player, and will not play the HD format.
