Overview

On paper the One M9 may not be massively different from the other big name releases in 2015, however when you put it side by side you realise just why HTC have been winning global design awards for the last 3 years.

The One M9 has been developed to be more than just a tool. It is an expression of who you are and how you wish to be perceived by choosing an elegant accessory to your lifestyle.

Every One M9's framework has been cut from a single piece of aluminium - the overall production of a single M9 handset involves over 70 individual steps and 300 minutes. This 5 hour marathon session of manufacture includes a "jewellery-grade hairline finish" to create the 'brushed metal' look, plus hand-polishing from an experienced craftsman before the application of a scratch resistant coating.
The result of this labour of love is a smartphone with fewer components than before, less seams and identifiable edges, yet an increase in the ergonomics and grip for human use.

HTC One M9 Rose Gold After experimenting with their own Ultra pixel technology for the main cameras in the past two One devices, HTC have now shrunk and moved this technology to the front of the phone. In its place is an industry-leading 20.7 MP sensor for starkly detailed image capture.

The lens cover protrudes ever so slightly and features a sapphire lens cover to protect against scratches when in a pocket or resting. You can also record staggeringly detailed 4K video. With the Ultra pixel technology in the front camera, you can achieve great results in low light. With dynamic auto exposure and 300% higher light capture than standard camera sensors.
Desire Eye smartphone, the EYE Experience software helps make every picture a work of art. Choose a standard automatic mode, or pick from various effects to use during or after the shot. HTC Zoe works tirelessly in the background, editing pictures together by location or time and putting them to music, all customisable when you look back.

Exhilarating Audio
Part of the one range's iconic design are the dual front-facing speakers. Utilising HTC Boom Sound technology, the HTC speakers now combine with Dolby 5.1 channel Surround sound simulation.
You could be showing a friend a new music video, catching up on Netflix during your commute, or providing a centrepiece for gathering and the HTC One M9 will deliver high fidelity sound for all occasions.

HTC Connect
Building on WiFi Direct technology, HTC Connect is activated by a 3 finger swipe down from the top of the screen. The Connect technology has been developed with Qualcomm's All Play media platform.
Thanks to this integration all smartphones with the tech (so other M9 devices or newer phones with Qualcomm processors) can share media and act as a single synchronised speaker. You can, also, effortlessly share wirelessly to HDTVs and other compatible technology such as select Harman/kardon speakers and others.
