Try downloading VLC player it is free, as for windows 7, some models do, best thing to do is refer to the Acer.co.uk website just to double check. (better safe than sorry) If you bought this from us I could chase up the spec via the purchase order number.

yes, it can run most standard programs, its only with the more demanding programs such as photoshop that this machine will struggle.
