Are you one of those people who prefer or need to use XP instead of the new ram hungry Vista?

Well with Laptop Directs XPDowngrade Service, we'll not only downgrade your new laptop to XP for half the price of a new license but we will also give you a Vista Recovery disc so you can change to Microsoft's new Operating system at a later date, giving you the best of both worlds.

All you need to do is put this service into your basket when purchasing your laptop and we will downgrade the laptop and create a recovery disc before the laptop is sent out, leaving you to just switch on and enjoy your new notebook.

Please note:

  • We can only downgrade Vista Business or Ultimate due to driver issues with Vista Home Premium and Basic.
  • This service may delay delivery for up to 48 hours.

Question from markowalsh: Asked on 14/09/2009 Do I need to buy this separately with the Samsung P510-AA02UK? How does the XP downgrade work?

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 15/09/2009
We do the downgrade on the laptop you are buying before we send it out so you need to buy the downgrade when you're buying the laptop.
