Question from Gerald B. Gill: Asked on 19/05/2010 I was drawn to your website as it offered laptops with Windows XP Pro downgrades from Windows 7. I downloaded details of 10 laptops (all indicated as XP downgradable) and selected one. I tried to order the Toshiba Satellite Pro L500-1TX on-line, but found no way of specifying the XP operating system during the order process.
I then telephoned your company to be told "we do not operate XP downgrades anymore." Your man checked the above model and said that it is NOT listed on your internal system as XP downgradeable; however, it could be done for an additional £40!
You need to update your website - otherwise you will get other disgruntled customers. Also, if an item is listed at a particular price (£549.97 with £50 cash back) it should be available AT THAT PRICE, not for an additional premium cost! I WOULD have bought the above laptop with the XP downgrade (+ Toshiba recovery disc) for £549.97, but not for £589
