Yes it does have firewire which is shown under Tech Spec and then Expansion/connectivity as 1 x IEEE 1394 (FireWire) The laptop should handle video editing fine but you may want to upgrade the ram as this always help. Please give our sales team a call for a price on the upgrade.

Both are good cards but the NVIDIA has twice as much dedicated memory, so I'd go with that one.

It has a DVD re-writer so it will have no problems writing CDs. Also multitaking is easily done on both the 2GB and the 4GB version

Its a good laptop that will run Cakewalk or any other studio software but if you are going to have virtual synths running then a Ram upgrade would help as they can take up a lot of system resources. Call our sales team for a price on the upgrade.

Battery life is around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on use. If you wish to play games on your laptop I suggest buying one from the Gaming section of the site, as the laptops in this section are designed to play the latest games such as COD4.
