paul: I found a data sheet on your laptop it only listed the battery I sent the code for which is a extended life battery. The one you have found will be standard battery. Lenovo's site will be correct. Further clarification can be got from Lenovo on 0870 608 4465. http://www.lenovo.com/pdf/us/en/t400_and_t500_datasheet.pdf Above is where I got the info from.
