Question from Debbie "Fastfingers": Asked on 03/08/2009 Hello - I'm a professional transcriber, which means I'm really hard on laptops (which I use) and many laptops have been lost along the way. I'm looking at this model as a replacement for a Toshiba on its last legs.
I'm after something robust that can take a daily pounding, has a solid (not plasticky) keyboard, solid USB and headphone connections, and can basically keep it together for longer than 18 months. A headphone connection on the side instead of the front would be all my prayers come true! Is this the model I need? If not this, could you suggest another Sony Vaio as I've heard they're pretty tough.
Thank you.
Debbie
