11-Sep-2008 Milan: What is the battery life on this laptop? The older T5750 processor consumes more power than the new P8400, but does this make any noticable difference to the actual batter life?

23-Sep-2008 Gabi: Is this any good for editing audio and visuals - What Laptop have given it 2 different categories in this months issue: as no good in the review (Road warrior category) and blue in the tables (Portable Worker) ie. good for editing.

SteveF: Editing video and audio can be a power hungry task but this laptop comes with a decent graphics card and 3GB of ram so should be able to handle anything you throw at it.

SteveF: Its a 12" screen but should be fine as it has a fairly high resolution.

Easycom: The q210 has a slightly faster processor and a dedicated graphics card.

10-Sep-2008 Ross: On researching this product it seems it should have a P8400 processor as opposed to a T5750 one as stated by yourselves. Can you let me know please?

Easycom: There are two models in the Q210 range, one has the P8400 processor and this one, has the T5750.

10-Sep-2008 Rob: What is the difference in performance between the P8400 and T5750 processors? And would you recommend this over the Samsung R410?

Easycom: The P8400 is a newer 2.26Ghz Core 2 Duo processor with 3 Mb L2 Cache size whereas the T5750 is a 2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo with 2Mb of L2 cache. Both are good laptops with the main difference being the graphics card and the ram. The screen size is also a differnet to consider with the R410 having a 14 inch display whereas the Q210 has a 12 inch.

14-Sep-2008 dan: Im interested to find out the battery life of this compared to the slightly more efficient model with the p8400 processor. Can you tell me where the figure you quoted of 4.5 hours for this model (t5750) is from? And also what is the figurre you have for the p8400 model?

Easycom: The figure of 4.5 hours is what Samsung quote as the best battery time that model. In use you could probably expect around 3.5 hours. The processor will not make that much difference to the battery life as the screen is probably the biggest drain and so I would put the figure at the same.
