21-Apr-2008 fun: Hi, please would you confirm, that if I purchase this laptop, it DOES have an integrated webcam. You told Julie that it does, but Terry then confused matters by stating that no it doesn't but his has!!!!! Also, if it does, but I'm not happy with the quality of the webcam, can I plug in my existing one? Advance thanks for your help in this matter, I want to make sure I'm making the correct purchase for me.

Easycom: It does have a camera, but you could plug in a USB one and use that instead though if you wanted to.

Easycom: Yes, apologies for the confusing product description - This laptop does have bluetooth and an integrated camera. The 1GB memory is in the form of 1 1024mb module, and the free memory offer ended at the end of April.

Easycom: It will run WoW with no problems, but a laptop with a better dedicated graphics card will allow you to run WoW with higher resolutions and better framerates with AntiAliasing and Ansiotropic Filtering etc. enabled - If it is performance you require, I suggest a laptop from the gaming laptop of our site.

11-May-2008 Matthew: Is it possible that I install my own Vista Business on this laptop (or any laptop bought from you for that matter please)? I for sure do not want Vista Home, and have both originals (thanks to msndaa :D) of Vista Business and XP. Can I install any of these without removing the warranty? Does it come with some proprietary software to stop u from formatting the disk like you do with any desktop?

Easycom: Yes you can install your own OS on this without any problems - There is no software that would stop you formatting. Installing your own OS will not void the warranty, but if you need to send it for repairs you may get it back as factory default (the original OS installed).

Easycom: The ExpressCard/54 is an expansion slot intended to give you a feature that is not fitted as standard. The standard spec for this laptop is already very good, and you should select your ExpressCard based on what feature you require that is not fitted as standard.

Easycom: Does your existing broadband modem have an ethernet port, or is it USB only? If it's USB only, you will need a router that has an integrated modem, or you will need to upgrade your modem to an ethernet model via your ISP. I recommend WGR614UK - but you will need an ethernet modem to use this.

Easycom: It will run it, but you may have to reduce the resolution to get a good framerate.

Easycom: This laptop has Vista Home Premium installed. To play the sims 2, I would recommend the 5920G as it is a similar specification but is designed to run games better (the graphics card is much more powerful).

Easycom: Firstly, you need to make sure your Cable modem has an Ethernet connection (RJ45) - If it does, then you can buy any of a wide range of wireless routers. I suggest WGT624UK as it is easy to set up and has a load of very useful features, including a great firewall for added security. If your modem is USB only, then you will have to ask your ISP for an upgrade. You will not need anything else - The cable modem connects to the wireless router via ethernet RJ45, and this laptop has wireless integrated.

Easycom: Yes, the warranty is valid outside the UK.

22-May-2008 al: hey, how many USB's? audio card compatible? tv out? dvd drive speeds? camera quality? cheers..

Easycom: It has 4 USBs, you could use an ExpressCard/54 sound card or a USB one. TV out is via the S-Video out port, the webcam is 1.3 megapixels. We cant find any drive speed information, but there isnt much variation on these from one model to the next.
