I want to be sure I have chosen the correct system. I only want to consider Toshiba and I want the product to grow with her...i.e as she progresses through school life. she is also interested in making her own CD/DVD's. I have looked at so many different specs I am going cross eyed and it dosen't help that I don't know what half of it means! can you correct me if I am wrong in my choice, I have selected the Toshiba A210 1AZ

Easycom: 1GB Ram is enough - Everything will run OK, but with 2GB everything runs a little faster - and you can have more applications running simultaneously without system slowdown. For average use, 1GB Ram is plenty. Memory can be upgraded by yourself at a later date as it is cheap to buy and very simple to install - and does not void the warranty.

Easycom: The laptop contains all the data on a separate partition. You can burn your own disc through the backup system, or you could buy one with it already done by ourselves.
