21-Jul-2008 finn: The weight of the 80GB HDD version and the 40gb SDD says 1.1kg on your website but ASUS says 1.45kg for 80GB HDD version and 1.33kg for the SDD version. Who is right?

Easycom: Solid state drives are based on flash memory and have no moving parts. This model ( EEEPC1000H-BK007X ) has a traditional hard drive, not a solid state drive.

peterh: The 1000H uses a SATAII drive - If you don't mind voiding the warranty then you can swap this at a later date with a SSD.
