Question from interested: Asked on 01/07/2010 when you say cord is this just power cord or full power supply unit?

Answer from simon: Answered on 01/07/2010
You would need to connect a "kettle" style lead to it to provide the power so you don't need to use the full laptop AC Adaper.

Question from Richard: Asked on 01/11/2009 How do I obtain a pdf manual of LC.D0100.002?

Question from Sarah: Asked on 10/09/2009 Re the power lead for the Acer Ferrari 4005 again, I am just unsure as to why the EZ4 docking station requires an adaptor that requires either 135 watts or 150 watts, (according the manual specs) but my laptop adaptor is only 90 watts. Seems to me that the laptop adaptor would not properly power the docking station ?or am I totally confused? Thank you so much.

Answer from SteveK: Answered on 10/09/2009
A very good question, Our Tech guys did a bit of head scratching, they contacted a number of Acer Ferrari blogging sites. Those who have bought a docking station have not even noticed that you needed a higher adapter and it works fine for them. Logically the docking station uses no more power than the laptop. As a guide they say check the temperature of the adapter after 20 minutes without the docking station connected, then after 20 minutes with the adapter connected, if there is a dramatic difference, then a larger supply will be required. I hope this helps, not the usual question I get.

Question from Sarah: Asked on 09/09/2009 One more question - is the power lead (adaptor) that is supplied with the original laptop (for the Acer Ferrari 4005) the same one that is required by the docking station to power the notebook?Or is there a different power lead that is needed by the docking station?

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 10/09/2009
Its the same power lead.

Question from HelenS: Asked on 07/01/2009 Hi, I have an Acer EZ-Dock EZ4 (LCD0103003). I am looking for a replacement power cable (19v 7.1A or 7.9A). Do you sell these. I see it mentions under your listing for the EZ-Docks that no power cable is supplied, but I can't see where they are listed elsewhere.
Many thanks

Sorry, we don't sell docking station power leads.

Question from Rico: Asked on 09/12/2008 You say this docking station is compatible with all Acer Travelmates that have a docking port. However the manual for this dock says it has 124 pins, while my Travelmate 3200 port has 100 pins (according to the manual). Does that mean it can still work with laptops that don't have the same number of pins?

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 09/12/2008
I would check which model of Easydock it will take which you can generally find on the Acer website. The info we have from them is that it fits any model of travelmate although docking station info can be a little thin on the ground.
