Question from Jims: Asked on 22/02/2009 Hi, would i be able to use this laptop with my Brother MFC 5840cn printer/scanner/fax, as i was told that Vista will not always work with older products. I also use a Belkin wireless G router and someone told me that this may not work with Vista either, is this correct? Thanks.

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 23/02/2009
You'll need to check with Brother on the printer issue as I don't have the info on that unfortunately. The laptop does support g band wireless though so will work fine with the wireless router.

Question from L: Asked on 04/02/2009 Hi, Would the Sims 2 run on this laptop?

It would struggle. I'd look for something a little more powerful if you want to play games on the laptop.

Question from Adam: Asked on 30/01/2009 Hi I have been advising some one to buy this note book after they ended up with a rubbish one that has now been sent back. (not an acer) But am I right in thinking that most note books use the same 200 pin SD ram? As we upgraded the last one to 2 gig and is good quality ram? Thanks in advance

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 02/02/2009
There are three types of ram about at the moment. DDR, DDR2 and DDR3 and each has different speeds. You would need to know what type of ram you've got for the other laptop and check it against this one which is running ddr2 ram.

Thanks

It starts from the date of purchase unfortunately, and the warranty is held with the manufacturer rather than ourselves so there is nothing we can do to change that.

Question from Nik: Asked on 05/12/2008 I am interested in this product but I have been advised by a high street electrical retailer, that in order for vista to run efficeintly that you need 2GB of RAM. Will this laptop run ok with just 1GB RAM?

Answer from SteveF: Answered on 08/12/2008
It will run OK with standard tasks such as browsing the internet, using word etc as you can turn the unnecessary parts of Vista off so its less RAM hungry. But if you are planning to use it for anything demanding we would recommend at least 2GB of RAM. Please give our sales team a call for upgrade prices.
