Question from Jennifer: Asked on 25/10/2007 Hi, I have a few questions:
(1) Can you explain the differences between this product and the Aspire 5720 Gemstone LX.AHE0X.161? They seem to be very similar (although full technical specs aren't provided for the Aspire), but this is £530 down from £627, whereas the Aspire £550 down from £693. Good performance with heavy engineering modelling programmes is essential.
(2) What is the camera on the Travelmate? If it is only a 0.3 megapixel (as on the Aspire), is it possible to upgrade to 1.3?
(3) If we wipe out Vista and install XP ourselves, would that affect the warranty?
(4) I tried to e-mail your customer service at the address provided on this website (customerservices@acerdirect.co.uk) for info re. VAT exemption, but the message bounced back each time I tried. Could you provide a different e-mail address? Thanks.
Question from Jol: Asked on 24/10/2007 The TravelMate 5720 series from Acer is powered by Intel's processor and uses the latest Intel chipset. Industry leading performance for the most demanding mobile usage is guaranteed with the advanced graphics performance of the ATI Mobility Radeon.
The above is your description of this product which does mention the ATI Mobility Radeon, on your customer feedback it says it does not include this, but another graphics item. Which is true? I'm very confused since your description appears to differ from your feedback comment.
Question from Tom: Asked on 24/10/2007 Hi,
I was linked to this page via a Pc Pro review (http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/122236/acer-travelmate-5720g.html#latestPrices). The price cited on this page corresponds to the review, as does the product name. However, there seems to be some discrepancy in specification, mainly 1GB less RAM and a different graphics adaptor. Could you clarify how much the reviewed product would cost, and what its precise product name is please? Thank you.
The Acer TravelMate 5720G-302G16Mi features the 2GB of RAM and the ATI graphics card, this is currently £639.97
