The computer prompts you to make one when setting up the computer or we can make you one for £15.00. £45.00 to buy from Acer.

The Intel GMA 4500MHD is a shared graphics card so shares memory with the RAM It would use 512MB of RAM for graphics. The ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 has 512MB dedicated memory so doesn't share memory with the RAM. It should also be noted shared graphics card are no suitable for any type of 3d content such as in games. Shared graphics can't cope with lighting effects, texture mapping, and frame rates in games. Hope this helps!

Question from Stuart: Asked on 06/08/2010 Looking on the Acer official website I can see that model AS3810TZG had been recalled due to a microphone cable problem, along with similar products in the line. The units affected are those prior to September 15, 2009. Are your stock past this recall date?

This laptop is not from that batch and have sold loads of these and have not heard of any such problems.

Question from Robert: Asked on 03/08/2010 Hi guys, currently looking for either a gaming laptop or a ultra-portable one... This one seems to be both (8 hours battery life and half a gig dedicated graphics??) - will this laptop play games such as LOTRO and/or Modern Warfare 2?

Doubt it would be suitable for those type of games the Acer 5939G would be better suited to games but has a larger 15" screen.
