Its more to do with the latest games which use direct x 10, which is only supported on the newer graphics cards. Although this model will play older games, we wouldn't recommend it as a gaming machine because it will struggle with those new games, even though it will play the older ones. Confusing eh? It should play FM8 though as it is not a graphically intense game like COD4 or Crysis.

Yes the laptop supports 5.1 and can use the appropriate speakers with a 3.5mm jack.
