Easycom: Normal DVDs will be upscaled to fit the resolution of the screen, just like any other TV or computer. HD DVD will be higher quality because it comes in a higher resolution, so wont have to be upscaled.

Easycom: No, the turbo memory is a seperate quantity, there wouldnt be much difference if you upgraded it to 4GB, unless you had a lot of things open at once.

And for using wireless you just need to purchase a wireless connection from BT or any other and a wireless router. Once you have these its very easy to configure it.

Ireland but sometimes UK Mainland. Is there one piece of kit I can purchase will connect me in any situation,or will I have to buy several, and if so what are they, and in which situation will I need them?

Easycom: As the laptop features wireless connectivity when you are away from home this will depend on WIFI hotspots you will be able to connect to these through wireless without any other products. To connect through wireless at home you will depend on how your Internet is received. If you have a a networked modem that connects through a network card then you will need a wireless router. 27-Oct-2007 Crystal: I really like the spec on the Gemstone but am completely turned off by its aesthetics. Can you recommend a similar spec from eihter the TravelMate or Aspire line? Easycom: None of them have integrated Bluetooth however can have it added with a USB adapter. The letters after the wireless LAN are wireless standards as different routers have different standards.

Easycom: You dont specify which Aspire 7720 you are reffering to, however i would recomend the LX.AK10U.037, however if you are looking at the LX.AHL0X.050 model i would go with the 5920 as this has the 1GB of turbocache and will run games better. As for sound output the 7720 has sound blaster compatible sound card, however both will have the same kind of out power.

Easycom: Yes it does have firewire, and features a line out scoket. It has 4 USB ports. There isn't a recovery CD it has a partition on the hard drive featuring the restore data inlcuding the OS.

Easycom: The 7720 doesn't feature an HDMI ouput, the Geforce 8600M is a newer graphics card and is better in terms of perfromance.
