Question from Bertie Fox: Asked on 09/11/2010 I am retired but I need a replacement laptop that will allow me to work on small scale programming (visual basic type language), normal 'office' work, photo processing, music editing, and normal email and Internet surfing. I'm looking for best price/quality. And having a long battery life would be useful. 2 to 3 hours (absolute max) which is all most laptops give, is fairly useless. Any suggestions? Acer have a good press. I don't want something that falls apart after two years like my Dell Inspiron! My best ever was a Compaq on Windows 3.1 but that was years and years ago. What would be a good buy? And can you deliver to France?
