Easycom: The length of cable from mains socket to power supply is usually around 0.8m and from the power supply to laptop around 1m. This laptop has a wireless network adaptor built in. It will run Microsoft Word but this must be purchased separately

10-May-2008 richk: Does this come with an OS DVD or will I have to maintain a partition to restore from. I want to wipe off Vista and put Linux on (getting rid of all partitions) but still have the option of going back to Vista in the future using an OS DVD.

Easycom: Acers come with eRecovery software that allows you to write your own recovery DVD or restore from partition if you need to (or if DVD writer drive is not fitted as standard)

Easycom: unfourtunately there is no compatability info for this model. This suggests thta it is not compatable ith linux

Easycom: This would be an adequate desktop replacement, however it comes with a trial version of office, and so the full version will have to be purchased separately.

Easycom: Vista now works fine. There is also due a service pack out which will fix all the bugs you have been hearing about.
