11-Aug-2007 Chris: Does this policy cover laptops that have not been bought from Laptopsdirect? And, does the insurance include cover for software?

Easycom: The insurance is for the hardware only but is available for laptops bought from other retailers.

20-Aug-2007 Ed GReen: When calculating the value of a laptop, I assume it is not necessary to include to cost of accessories that come with Laptop (printer, mouse, remote control etc)?

Easycom: No you need only cover the purchase price of the laptop.

19-Apr-2008 KS: In what condition does the laptop need to be to get a replacement? If a replacement laptop is needed, with what will you replace it .. e.g laptop at same original value etc. Thanks.

Easycom: It will be replaced if it cant be fully repaired. It would be replaced with a new machine of equivalent value to the original cost of the written off machine.
