Answer from SteveF: Answered on 29/07/2009
Just go for the insurance policy that covers that price. If there is any problem with a claim, they will go off the book price of the laptop.

Question from Toni: Asked on 30/12/2008 Does this one year insurance begin from after the usual manufacturer's one year guarantee runs out, or is it running alongside the manufacturer's guarantee during the first year after purchase.

Answer from peterh: Answered on 31/12/2008
This is insurance, not an extended guarantee. The manufacturer warranty/guarantee does not cover theft or accidental damage (it only covers mechanical failure). As such, this insurance runs simultaneously alongside the manufacturer warranty.

If you feel the value is nearer £750 the policy is like for like and so I would recommend a policy with a higher value.
