Questions & Answers

04/01/2013 Tamil: Hi I have bought a CCTV from you last year. All of a sudden (when the CCTV is restarted), it is showing the initializing screen and nothing works.

I have gone through some articles which suggests to restart and reset the battery etc, didn't work for me.

So, I thought of changing the hard drive now.

System Specification of my CCTV:
================================
Manufacturer: AVTECH
Stock Code: KPD679
Item: Avtech CCTV 16CH H.264 CCTV DVR USB Mouse Control with GUI Display

Current Hard Disk:
Manufacturer: SEAGATE
Stock Code:ST31000525SV
Item: Seagate DVR Hard Drive 1TB SATA for CCTV DVR

The item I am planning to buy is: Seagate BARRACUDA 2TB SATA - ST2000DM001

Will my CCTV work/compatible with the hard disk I am planning to buy.

Thanks,
Tamil

16/09/2012 Richard U: Hi I am looking to upgrade a cctv dvr from 1tb to 2tb hardrive and not sure if this drive is suitable, if not have you any advice on which would be best. I do need 2tb though thank you.

Richard Uttridge

Gavin: Hi, what do you currently have? Older DVR's took IDE hard drives. Current DVR's take SATA. Ours all take SATA now.

Just check what you've got already, but if it's IDE, we cannot help.
